My friends, Ron and Anna, are getting married in October. Ron is a huge fan of the Matrix movies, so he wanted to redo The Matrix trailer with Anna and him playing Trinity and Neo with dialogue changed to fit the theme of marriage. They are planning to show the trailer during their reception. The script was already written, but they needed a director to visually bring their idea to life. They approached me to do that task. They also asked me to play Morpheus.

I have written and directed many short animated piece of my own in the past. Although my animation projects were not simple, directing live action is a  different type of beast. I was up for the challenge though and after we finished shooting, I felt real confident that my first time directing live actors was a success.

Now that production has wrapped, the next test will be in post production. I have to do a excellent editing job to make sure the shots captured are utilized to tell the story Ron and Anna want to get across in less that two and a half minutes. Will the final result be all that I hope it will be? I truly believe so.

I will send a follow up post once I finish editing the trailer. For now, you can view the photos that were taken during the shoot  below.

Enjoy!

stopsign

I took the above photo a few months ago during my commute from West Los Angeles to West Hollywood. As I was taking a shortcut through a neighborhood near Pico and Fairfax, I saw this 4-way stop sign that immediately caught my eye. Someone had cleverly place a "R" over the "Y" in the "All Way" part of the sign. I quickly parked my car and grabbed my camera, that I always have in my computer bag, and proceeded to take a picture.

Although I feel there are pros and cons to war, this blog isn't meant to share my political ideals or my views on our countries policies here and abroad. I am posting this photo simple for the fact that some took the time make a statement in such a peaceful and creative way.

It also inspired me to use more non-traditional ways to express how I feel about certain issues.

If you happen to snap a picture of anything eye-catching that represents the thoughts and ideas of someone in an artistic way, please feel free to send it me and i will post it here.

I hope the stop sign photo caught your interests. Remember to always look for things to inspire and motivate you in life, and in return, try to inspire and motivate those you encounter in your life.

Take care!
