I found this image through one of my daily "find anything creative" internet runs. It was a part of a collection of artwork utilizing text. Although they were all worthy of being a Corner 10 Artwork of the Day, I choose 'Education" for it's simple , yet powerful message. Enjoy!

This is another short poem that came to me right before going to bed last night...

"Unmasking"

I exercise my mind to be energetic and strong,
so I can face mental challenges and correct decisions that were wrong,
now I'm on to conquer my life tasks when I used to be like those masked men,
hiding my true self from the world, but now I'm revealed through passion,
passion for my art, art given life by my heart
that beats for the love of friends and family who left their mark
in my life, which has made me the man I am today,
who removed the mask of doubt, now I am about living life my way.

Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.

I wrote this in bed late last night in my notebook before falling asleep.

"Blueprints"

I remain positive through the stress
that often poses a threat,
as life closes a net over my peace of mind,
I find the words I should never forget...
all is in God's design and although the blueprints,
I can't always see,
I trust that what is being built is something that must be great
and meant to be...

On this day, in 1973,  of one my heroes died...Bruce Lee.

His passion for acheiving greatness in his life has always been a huge impact on me. I will always be a fan of Bruce Lee and I plan on introducing my future children to him through his short, but definitely memorable, film career that left a huge impression on me as a child. Although gone from the Earth far too early, his legacy will live on from generation to generation!

If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and all generations of your ancestors. All of them are alive in this moment. Each is present in your body. You are the continuation of each of these people.

- Thich Nhat Hanh

My cousin Mark wrote this a few days ago and it was so moving that I had to post it here for more people to be able to read. If you grew up listening to Michael Jackson, then this will definitely touch you. Enjoy.

Part of the wonder of being a child is marveling at the BIGNESS of all the things around you.

At one point, I thought my mother was the tallest woman ever. I was in awe of her. I never felt more like her child than I did when in wonder at her ability. She could heal a wound by kissing it. She could make Christmas presents materialize magically from thin air.

The taller I grew, the less she seemed like the unstoppable force who wielded a fearsome 4-inch-wide, 28-inch-long leather belt with a decorative buckle. Eventually, I towered over her in height. In enough years, I realized that my mother didn't shrink at all. She had been about 5' 6" the whole time.

The more my eyes opened, the more I perceived that despite her impeccable integrity, even she had little foibles and peculiarities to contend with. The more aware I became of my mother's humanity and fallibility, the more she seemed less like a superhero....
