I have been in contact with a non-profit organization that I would like to assist through donations. They were rightfully concerned about if I was just using their organization to boost my sales because many businesses have done this in the past. With respect for those concerns, I responded with an email to explain my background and what Corner 10 stands for. After reading what I wrote, I thought it might be good to post it here on The Corner 10 Blog so anyone who is new to the site might gain a better understanding of Corner 10 Productions and The Corner 10 Blog.

My company name is Corner 10 Productions because of the neighborhood I grew up in. I was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA and I grew up on 10th Street. All my friends and I would meet on the corner of T Street and 10th Street to begin our neighborhood adventures built on our imaginations and creativity. Those childhood memories are still cherished and live on through my company. I connected those times with my business because I believe as a graphic and web designer that I must always be in touch with that childhood creativity. The name "Corner 10" is a constant reminder of where I came from, who I am now , and what I will be.

My long term goal with Corner 10 Productions is to return back to my old neighborhood and establish a neighborhood organization that offers creative programs ranging from teaching drawing classes to musical instrument training. I was raised to always give back when life is good to you. I know that goal is far is away, but I know it will happen one day. Until then, I am really motivated to lend support to organizations in my current community who represent the same goals I wish to one day achieve.
