I'd like to thank my friend JP for sending this video to me.

Ted Kennedy was such a powerful speaker and his passion for what he believes in can be felt throughout this speech.

Rest in peace Ted!

On this day, in 1973,  of one my heroes died...Bruce Lee.

His passion for acheiving greatness in his life has always been a huge impact on me. I will always be a fan of Bruce Lee and I plan on introducing my future children to him through his short, but definitely memorable, film career that left a huge impression on me as a child. Although gone from the Earth far too early, his legacy will live on from generation to generation!

I know there are many people right now writing up their pieces on Michael Jackson and how he influenced, motivated, and inspired them,  but I will just focus on one achievement of Michael's career that stood out to me.

When I took a History of Rock n' Roll class in school, I learned that if it wasn't for Michael Jackson, MTV would not have played black music videos until years after they eventually did.

In the beginning, they refused to play black music videos, that is, until the Billy Jean video came out. This song was so huge, that MTV had no choice but to air the video. Once Billie Jean aired on MTV and was so successful, it opened the door for his fellow black music artists, current and future, to have their videos played on MTV.

He was a music pioneer in so many ways and will be greatly missed by people from all walks of life. Although he will be missed, he will never be forgotten and his music will be loved by many generations to come.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson...

Please leave your comments. If you have any stories related to Michael Jackson, whether they be sad, funny, or inspirational, please share. I would definitely like to hear from people who love Michael's music as much as I do.

Thank you!
